I was diagnosed with PCOS about 5 years ago. I have been
so relieved to find this web site. I went to the OHSU Fertility
clinic in Portland Oregon for about a year. I have been
on clomid/povera and injections, 1 iui no luck. I did
ovulate through injections (or should I say create only 1 egg)
I have regular periods once a month, they are getting longer
and have always been painful. I am obese, some chin hair
but that is it. We stopped treatments because of the emotional and
financial strain. We have adopted our 1st child in 1997. He is
21/2 and wonderful. I am 33 years old. I have just discovered
the news about the insulin viewpoint. I was wondering if at my age it
is too late, and if anyone knows of a good PCOS doctor in the
state of Oregon.I am hoping for good news, but I am thrilled
that PCOS is being taken more seriously for younger women,
so them all have their own little miracles.
