I don't blame birth controls for PCOS. When I am taking the correct birth control pill, I lose weight, the hirsuitism growth is not as heavy, etc. The last pill I was on stopped working properly for me and I have not seen another physician. They placed me on Orthonovum and it worked for several months as far as making me menstrate, but then stopped and I in turn quit taking the bill for the fear of it hurting me instead. So, no I do not blame the "pills" for the PCOS. I had these problems before I started on the pill. I was placed on the pill to regulate my periods.
