I am 40 and have been seeing an RE who says I don't have PCOS, although my GYN had told me that I did have it. I am thin but have had a lot of problems with excess hair. My periods used to be very irregular when I was younger, but somehow in my old age they have become more regular although with very long cycles (40 days) and light bleeding. My questions: Is it possible that my PCOS has just gone away on its own? Or should I pursue this subjec with my RE further? He is determined that I don't have it given my infertility workup results.
