I agree with your physician. Although the FSH-only preparations such as Follistim, Gonal-F and Fertinex were originally thought to be potentially advantageous for the PCOS woman with already-high LH, there is no evidence that they are better than Pergonal, Humegon or Repronex for these women. However, they are given under the skin rather than deep in muscle and are more comfortable to administer.
