PCOS is one a few possible disorders you may have. All, however, are manageable and in most cases fertility will occur (perhaps with a little help). Irregular periods, heavy menses, hair growth and obesity are common in PCOS (although many women are in fact thin). You are fortunate to be in an era where PCOS is being recognized more and taken more seriously. Good luck.

: Let me expalin my situation a little better. I am 25yrs. old and I have had my period about 10-15 times so far. When I do have my period it will last for about 2 weeks or more and is extremely heavy the whole time. My GYN has put me on the pill several times but that does not work because it makes me sick all the time. I have been on all different dosages of the pill. I have a good amount of facial hair on my chin and neck. I am getting married in about 1 1/2 months and I would like to have children someday and this makes me think about it. My future mother-in-law showed me the article. If anyone can help me with more information on PCOS I would appreciate it greatly.

: Thank You.
