My 12, almost 13 year old daughter is having trouble with her period. She started last summer and has had only one since. She has some excessive facial hair growth and some on her lower back. She has had her blood tested and everything, including hormones seem to be fine, however, after reading an article on PCOS I'm wondering if she may have the start of the symtoms.
Are there any other tests that could be done to either confirm or deny the symtoms of PCOS? Her doctor wants to start her on the pill by summer time if she hasn't developed a regular cycle.
