Hi Leslie,

I'm definitely considering adoption. I 32, live in Northern California, and have had two mc due to my balance translocation (chromosome problem in which I have two chromosomes pieces that have switched places, so to speak). Chromosome problem found after second mc.

I think it's easy for me to decide to go through the adoption route because I don't have trouble conceiving, I just don't produce a lot of eggs of good chromosome potential. I'm trying Pre-genetic Diagnosis with IVF in the fall, but I'm not holding out much hope given its success rate, but I'd be killing myself if I didn't try. And in any case, I want more than one child so I'd be adopting sometime in the future. I could continue to try on my own, and hope to get lucky, but it is so emotionally draining.

As I said in a message below, I'm investigating issues related to domestic adoption because I'm not a US citizen.

Anyone else have a story?
